Here’s a peek at the drawing I’m working on for an upcoming group exhibition, 22, at The National Grid Gallery in Sydney. The show will feature work from 22 international female artists. The show will open on the 18 June, so I thought I better get in early and start drawing cause I’ve chosen to create a larger than normal piece and it is going to take agggeesss! Challenges are good, right?

Without giving too much away, here is a little sneak peak at the recent samples my client received from their clothing manufacturer. The above are two colour proofs printed on white fabric. You can see the first one is a little yellow in tone, and the second is much closer to the original illustration. Remember ages ago I gave a little sneak peak and you guys gave me a ’stab in the dark’ of what you thought it might be? No? Have a look here. You can probably tell what it is now! Watch this space, I’ll be posting the finished product soon :) Cant wait!

Work in progress, 3 hours in… it’s only tiny so not taking too long so far, but then, I’ve only drawn about 1/4 of it!

In other news, just been super busy working away on a few commissioned jobs, done a few little interviews that will pop up soon, and updated my etsy store with some new prints, you can have a look over here.

Here’s a little sneak peak of my first drawing for Leeloo’s Once Upon exhibition that I posted about earlier. My theme is sleeping beauty. The work that I’m doing is a little different to my usual style, just feel like trying something different. See how it goes!
A few artists have been posting there work in progress for this show too. Some include truth.be.told and Ben Zen.
In other news, bought some new albums I really like. Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Tegan and Sara and Muse’s new albums and Gotye’s (2006) Mixed Blood Album. Hours of music listening whilst drawing!

A drawing I’m working on at the moment and Audrey doing a big stretch. This photo makes me giggle!
Another photo from Flaming Lips, you can see all the confetti they let go and you can see how far away we were :( but we did get the tickets at the last moment and my new Diana Mini tee I got made, hehe, yes I’m a ‘lomo’ geek!

Vintage cash register in my day job’s Bosses office. Took this and the following images with my new little Diana Mini camera and had the film cross processed. I scanned the film and boosted up the contrast a little bit and the saturation too.
