I was pretty stoked to be a feature artist in the Versus 2012 exhibition at Mainland Regional Art Gallery, organised by The Roost Creative! Our brief was to only use two colours, red and blue, and their tones and mixes.
“It’s coming. Are you ready? This May some of Australia’s finest illustrators, graphic designers and street artists are hitting the Hunter. Maitland Regional Art Gallery will be a blaze with the battle of the pigments. Featuring works from Travis Price, Ben Mitchell, Carlo Delos Santos, Georgia Rose Leighton & Binary Creative this is a show you won’t soon forget! With live music and amazing murals on show, along with live designing, this show will bring the house down.”

I tried to create a harmony between red and blue and to create smaller works that joined to create one large work. The series took about 2 weeks full time and was a lot of work but in the end I was happy to look at them all together.
Prints will be in my shop soon too and the pieces from the exhibition that don’t find new homes.

Beautiful artwork. I saw your speech at Semi-Permanent and I felt relieved to see an artist working with a like mind. I found you to be one of the most relate-able speakers. Good work! :)
