Drawn From Fashion ‘wrap-up’

On Saturday and Sunday, 16 amazing fashion illustrations and artworks were on display at The Finders Keepers Markets in Docklands, Melbourne. Drawn From Fashion exhibition was a cultural event to the Annual Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival. The lovely lades from Leeloo, Angel and Renee, are to thank for the show being so fabulous! I’m so glad I got to see all the work and check out the Finders Keepers for the first time. I’m looking forward to the markets returning to Melbourne, later in the year!

Hope you like my painting, she is only my second one, so still lots of room for development! I loved working with gold paint, I think I was feeling a little inspired by Gustave Climpt. Overall I’m reasonably happy with her except for the lower area of the painting, it didn’t quite go as imagined.

Hope you enjoy my photo loop of the exhibition. I used a firefox plugin called APNG which was very easy to use! It may take a little while to load and dosent play on iPhones and iPads *sad face*. Alternatively, click here to view a static gallery of the images in a new page.

Exhibiting Artists: Beth Emily, Catherine Campbell, Courtney Brims, Elisa Mazzone, Emma Leonard, Erin Flannery, Jessica Singh, Kelly Smith, Lalita Lu (me&oli), Lauren Carney, Meeri Anneli, Pilgrim Lee, Pippa McManus, Racket, Sarah McNeil and me!
