New Work for ‘Look See’ and ‘Eclectica’

‘One In The Same’ for the Look See 2011 exhibition.

‘Magic Forest’ for Eclectica at The National Grid Gallery.

‘Olive’ (Eclectica)

‘Another Place And Time’ (Eclectica)

‘Flirting With Shadow’ (Eclectica)

I thoroughly enjoyed working on this set of pieces even though I was on a tight deadline and had to work quickly. Normally I will spend a ridiculous amount of time fussing over details. It was also nice to set a style and colour scheme and explore it through multiple pieces. The incorporation of liquid mediums and more pastel work is a little new for me, and it was also nice. I think I’ll work more like this from now on.

All pieces are created on Archers Smooth Watercolour Paper, 300gms using acrylic, soft pastel and coloured pencils.

Hope you like my new pieces!

Nice stuff, like the moss & toad stools in the second image, would be interesting to see how far you could take that.
