“Subtext Gallery in San Deigo are hosting the inaugural group exhibition from PRISMA, an international artist collective founded by Kaspian Shore. Founded in 2011, the group currently supports 30 talented creatives, working in the fields of traditional and digital painting, drawing, illustration, and sculpting. PRISMA stands for a high standard in professionalism and almost exclusively features internationally renowned artists. They have built a tightly woven network and established good friendships within their collective that serve to encourage and promote their artists, representing the core of what PRISMA is about: stepping out of the isolation in the vastness of the art market.”

Gallery 1988 and Hello Giggles presents ‘Young Adult’, a group art show celebrating childhood novels. Each of the 60+ female artist were asked to produce an artwork based on a young adult novel. I chose Nancy Drew, a series about a young, female detective.
The show opens this Saturday, February 2nd, 7-10pm at Gallery1988 Melrose – 7020 Melrose Ave, LA 90038. The show will run until Saturday, February 23, 2013.
