AROUND MELBOURNE…

1. Jono, my little bro, waiting for me after work, Queen’s Lane. 2. Near my Coin Laundry, just off Rathdowne Street. 3. Bourke Street Mall… pretty dark and underexposed, but I kinda like the pattern from the roof. 4. Audrey taking a nap.
FROM MY RECENT TRIP TO WANGARATTA…

1. V-Line train at Southern Cross railway station. 2. Looking out the window from the train.

1. Got off the train at Seymore, have to transfer to Coach for the rest of the journey to ‘Wang’. I thought this Granny was cute, finishing off her ice cream before she hoped on. 2. For those who don’t want to walk across the road, from the train station to the coaches, there is a little golf buggy like service.

1. Looking out the window of the coach in Seymore. 2. Wangaratta’s main street.

1. Wangaratta Art Gallery, this is where I went for the EXIT 09 Graduate Exhibition. 2. As the sign says, the Wangaratta Mosonic Centre. I like this old building.

1. Luke and me. Luke and I went to school together. He now teaches at Wangaratta TAFE. 2. Me and Don. Don was one of my teachers.

1. Pretty roses. The white rectangle is actually a sticker. The people who developed my film put it over a negative :( 2. The motel room I stayed the night it.
Overall these images are very green and or blue and rather underexposed! But, it’s pretty hard to adjust the Dian Mini as it only has two appeture settings… ’sunny’ or ‘cloudy’. As my brother said, Slide Film is very sensitive to exposure. Guess I just have to learn whether the light around me would work well or not when using slide film!

I love these Bec!! They are fantastic. I am jealous. I know nothing about film!
pity about the roses one, i like it!! i remember when I cross processed slide film it also came out all blue too. and if you cross process normal film it comes out orange. but then it depends on the brand.
@ Liss :: Yeh… ah well :( Will be interesting when I get my other slide film cross processed, if it turns out the same or a bit different. It’s a different brand so it might be! x
@ Louis :: Awww, thanks Louis! I’m just re-learing about film. Not worrying too much about the technical side, more just having fun with my little toy! xo
I love all this picture, open my eye sight a little. I haven been to those places before..
Thanks for sharing..
bahahah i love the granny chowing down on some ice cream, classic. I like that you tried some street photography. Its exillerating hey!
I’m truly amazed by your beautiful artworks! You’ve got so much talent, it’s very inspiring.
oh these look great! I got my first film out of my diana back and there was so no love for my film. half of them didn’t even turn out or they were pretty much on the edge of the print which was a bit sad. i think my poor little diana is maybe a little bit busted :(
@ Jessie :: For my first film, only about 9 of them worked. Lots were underexposed and I had it scanned and they scanned it like you said your prints were… on the edge. Most places that print photos can’t seem to deal with the square format… i like to lay out my images in photoshop, on one of the standard print sizes, like 6′ x 4′, then take them on disk and get prints from those… does that make sense? Don’t give up!!! Maybe it was a shitty film… ???? Ask Jessie G too, she might know a bit… xo
Guess what! because mum saw your Diana when you came to Wang, she let me get one!
I just wanted to say thank you! because when I show mum that I was interested in one, she was like “oh Bec had one of those it looked great!”
Its so beautiful, Ive only done 1 film so far and will get the results tomorrow.
lots of blogging love
Erica
p.s I love the shot of don and luke (who is very jealous of me) and the tipical lazy street of wang.
@ Erica :: Oh Yah!!! That’s excellent!!! You have a cool Mum :) Can’t wait to see your first lot of photos!!
Haha to Luke :P Hehe… Say hi to him for me. I had such a fun time in Wang… I’ll have to come back again and hang out with you guys :)
Lots of blogging love right back at yah!
